Anthony Jeselnik: June 9-12

Anthony Jeselnik
Anthony Jeselnik is an American writer and stand-up comedian. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but currently resides in New York City, New York. He earned a BA in English Literature from Tulane University, then subsequently moved to Los Angeles. His past television appearances include Late Night With Conan O'Brian, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Down And Dirty With Jim Norton, and Last Call With Carson Daly. Jeselnik has an episode of Comedy Central Presents set that premiered January 16, 2009. Jeselnik worked as a writer on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon for the show's first season and often appeared in the show's comedy sketches. After working on Late Night for a year, he left the show in March 2010 and has relocated to Los Angeles to focus on performing stand-up comedy and other future projects.

Jeselnik was named one of Comedy Central's breakout comedians of 2009, along with Nick Kroll, Aziz Ansari, Whitney Cummings, Donald Glover, Matt Braunger, T.J. Miller, Kumail Nanjiani, and Jon Lajoie. He was jokingly referred to as the most attractive amongst the group by the other comedians. Jeselnik has stated many times in advice to practicing beginning comedians that he believes the most important step in the career is learning to continue acts even when no one is laughing, because there is no better practice against heckling. His "Comedy Central Presents" stand-up special is available on iTunes. Jeselnik is a regular at the Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village, NYC.
